Controlled Burn of the Ruby Roe Tall Grass Prairie
In accordance with REACT’s Tall Grass Prairie Management Plan with the Town of Stonewall and the Interlake Regional Health Authority (IRHA), REACT conducted a controlled burn of the Tall Grass Prairie on April 6th and 7th, 2010.
Both the Town and the IRHA were notified on the days of the burn. In addition to the prairie restoration company who conducted the burn, the Town of Stonewall Fire Department was on standby during the entire operation.
